Moth Talk 'n Draw

Saturday, November 21 · 1:30 PM · Sunol: Visitor Center

About

SUNOL - Explore the world of moths as you learn to draw them step-by-step! Discover how moths help us and our parks while enjoying art in nature. Ages 9 plus. Program takes place around the Sunol Visitor Center and may be inside or outside, depending on weather conditions. Materials participants need to bring to the program: drinking water, wear layers. Organized groups such as scouts and homeschool must apply for program separately using Naturalist program request form. Check out our Sunol Wilderness Facebook page for free, nature journaling workshops to learn more about parks and art! From Fremont, drive north on I-680 and exit at Calaveras Road (near the town of Sunol.) Turn right at the exit onto Calaveras Road and proceed about four miles to a left turn onto Geary Road, which leads directly into the park. (If you find yourself driving uphill on a narrow winding road you’ve missed the Geary Road turnoff.) To reach the visitor center take the first left after the park entrance. From the Oakland-Berkeley area, drive east on I-580 to the junction with I-680. Take I-680 south and exit at Calaveras Road/Highway 84 just south of the Sunol exit. At the bottom of the exit, turn left onto Calaveras Road and proceed as noted above.
