Visual Narratives / Low-cost class Instructor: Dawn Evans Scaltreto Mosesian Center for the Arts is excited to offer a class for adults 55 years of age and over who are residents of Watertown. Creating visual art in combination with writing is a wonderful way to share personal stories and experiences. Have you always wanted to put some of these stories in writing? Or have you wondered how to paint your favorite landscape or seascape? With the guidance of an experienced art educator, students will be able to create images that best illustrate these stories or evoke the feelings associated with them. Participants will use easily accessible materials like watercolors, acrylic paint, pencils, glue, and scissors. Students will be shown different ways to use photographs as references and combine them with the writing. No prior art or writing experience is required! The writing and art prompts will be explained, and the teacher will work with each participant to help them achieve their goals.
