Watercolor Wonder: Creating Vibrant and Expressive Color, Texture and Spirit! Instructor: Lisa Lubarr This is a class about the joy, passion, and wonder of watercolors! There are many different creative and FUN techniques that lend themselves to landscape painting as well as to figurative art, still lives, botanicals and abstracts. Allowing paint to interact and move with water and other elements provides fascinating textures and spontaneous effects. Each week will be an exploration of a few exciting methods where the spirit of experimentation and freedom are encouraged along with ways that these intriguing techniques can be incorporated into specific designs. We will work with salt, wax paper, clingwrap, ink, granulation medium, sea sponges and lifting sponges, creatively-shaped brushes, tools for splattering and scraping, masking fluid, artist’s tape, rice and oatmeal, rubbing alcohol, soap and many other household items!
