Juventas New Music Ensemble Presents: Many Voices, One Song: A Social Justice Concert and Community Sing Food and refreshments from the Medford Brewing Company are available for purchase. Envisioned and curated by Juventas Soprano, Kelley Hollis, Many Voices, One Song is a musical call to action. Part vocal performance, part community sing, the program features contemporary pieces alongside familiar works from the social justice canon. Audiences will encounter new pieces by living composers as well as be invited to lift their voices in song to favorites such as Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Blowin in the Wind, and This Little Light of Mine. Musicians: Kelley Hollis, soprano Julia Scott Carey, piano Works: ...all that is good by Anthony R, Green Open Your Mouth by Ashi Day Songs for the People by Rosephanye Powell The New Colossus by Oliver Caplan Selections from the social justice canon, with sheet music provided for attendees. Selections include We Shall Overcome, This Land is Your Land, and How Can I Keep From Singing?. This program is funded through a Medford Arts Council grant. This program is also supported by the Boston Foundation Free for All Endowment Fund, a Puffin Foundation grant, and a Massachusetts Cultural Council General Operating Support grant.
