Middle School Book Club (Grades 6-8)
About
Middle school readers in grades 6 - 8 are invited to the the first book club meeting aimed at their level since the Cary Library ChiRP construction project! We will be reading The School for Thieves by Peter Burns. Copies will be available to pick from the Teen Room after registration opens on September 15. Please read the book before our October 15 meeting, where we will discuss it and also plan for future book clubs. In order to successfully participate in this program, a participant should have: the ability to read and comprehend complex books (accessible formats available) the ability to be an engaged participant in a conversation—including the ability to be an active listener, take turns talking, and treat peers with courtesy and respect a desire to interact and socialize with peers a desire to read outside their comfort zone and try different genres
