Light of the Moon: Mid-Autumn Calligraphy Lantern

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival through art and culture! Participants will learn basic Chinese calligraphy brush techniques and discover the festival’s traditions. We will explore the customs and symbolism of the Mid-Autumn Festival, then practice writing auspicious phrases related to the moon and reunion. Each participant will create a unique fan-shaped paper lantern, beautifully decorated with their own brushwork — a perfect piece to take home and enjoy during the festival evening. Due to high demand, we ask that community members sign up for a single occurrence of this series so that as many as possible can participate. Registration is required to attend.
