Boat to Brooks

BROOKS ISLAND - Join us for a relaxed, narrated boat ride to Brooks Island. Once anchored near the shoreline, participants will be ferried (by skiff) to the island to enjoy a naturalist-guided, two-mile hike around this beautiful preserve. Hot coffee, hot chocolate and tea are provided. Registration is required. Meeting Place: Brooks Island (Berkeley): Berkeley Marina *Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. WEAR: - dress in layers for warmth (synthetic materials recommended) - windbreaker or rain jacket (if light rain in forecast) - hat and/ or sunglasses. - good walking shoes -hiking poles/stick (optional), there are some steep sections on the trail and parts are a little rocky. BRING: - Signed Waiver/Emergency form (form is located at the end of registration receipt) - Lunch - Enough water for yourself for the whole day. At least 2 liters is recommended. There is no access to potable water on the island. If you decide to register for this class, download the Waiver/Emergency Form – fill out, sign, and bring to class.
