Please join us for a live music performance by Kira Hooks to celebrate Filipino American History Month! Kira Hooks is a Filipina American singer-songwriter based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Born in Houston, Texas, she spent her formative years living in the Netherlands, Nigeria, Scotland, and China. Her time abroad deeply informs her musical sensibility and global perspective. Her music blends elements of soul, jazz, R&B, and folk, characterized by a rich, fluid vocal style and emotionally resonant songwriting. This program is part of SCCLD's celebration of Filipino American History Month. All are welcome, no registration is required. For accessibility accommodations (ex.
