Read to a Superhero

Some of our favorite superheroes are soaring into the library in celebration of books and community! Join Superhero Support Inc. for a meet-and-greet and one-on-one reading time with one of your favorite superheroes. Practice reading aloud and build your confidence during this reading session. A range of books will be provided. This program is specifically targeted to children 5-12 years old who have some ability to read aloud on their own. ** Space is limited and visiting sessions will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Interested in participating as a local author next year? Though our author selection is finished for this year, consider submitting an application for next year. Space is limited, and only selected authors will be contacted with next steps in the Fall of 2027. This program is generously co-sponsored by Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, MD, Inc. Find out how to Get a Library Card . Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child. If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
