About

Get ready to cut, craft, and create in this hands-on zine‑making workshop with artist and author Sierra Barnes. Zine Machine: Papercraft, Prose, and Publish invites participants of all experience levels to explore the expressive world of DIY publishing. During this dynamic session, Sierra will guide attendees through the process of designing, writing, assembling, and reproducing their very own zines. Learn how to blend visual art with storytelling, experiment with layouts and illustration techniques, and discover the power of small‑press creativity. From brainstorming ideas to leaving with a finished zine in hand, this workshop offers the tools, inspiration, and encouragement to turn your creative spark into a shareable handmade publication. Perfect for writers, artists, hobbyists, or anyone curious about the art of independent print. Interested in participating as a local author next year?
