Writing & Publishing Apprentices(Ages 13-18)

Join us for a nine-session writing workshop brought to you by 826 Valencia. In this workshop, a group of writers aged 13–18, gather to spend a semester honing their craft. With support from their peers and tutors, students will learn new writing techniques, practice literary analysis, and workshop a single piece to be featured in our end-of-semester publication. This workshop will take place across the street from 826 Valencia at The International Library of Youth Writing (849 Valencia st.) This a six-week workshop and students are required to attend all dates: Mondays, September 14th-November 16th* 4:30 PM-6:00 PM *We will not have class on 10/12 in observance of Indigenous People’s Day. To express interest in this workshop fill out this form . After registering, staff will reach out to offer a spot depending on eligibility and availability in the program. Our workshops are open to anyone, but we do give priority to SFUSD students with socio-economic need and hold spaces for students enrolled in our other programs.
