Denim Repair Workshop
About
This hands-on workshop introduces participants to practical denim repair techniques, focusing on simple “touch‑ups” for common issues like holes, tears, and areas of wear. The session will begin with demonstrations of various denim repairs, with a focus on hand-sewing techniques. After the demo, participants will have dedicated time to practice their own repairs on their own denim item. Assistants will circulate throughout the room to offer guidance, answer questions, and provide one‑on‑one help as attendees work on their projects. This workshop--offered in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Protection--is designed for all skill levels and aims to build confidence in basic denim mending while creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment. Bring your own denim item from home. This event is intended for teens aged 14+ and adults. Sign up to make sure we have supplies ready for you!
