September 26 - Bay Farm from Godfrey Park Meet at Godfrey Park, 281 Beach Road. The walk will stroll through land once home to farms famous at first for their hops and asparagus. We’ll get to know the families who arrived here in the 1850’s and who farmed here until the 1980’s. We’ll see the last surviving family home and the site of the well that supplied the early farms with water. We’ll also learn how the developers intruded here and how homes gradually replaced the farmlands. Dennis Evanosky will lead this walk. Note: Walk lasts 1 hour, 15 minutes
