Tara Esperanza: Close to Home
About
Esperanza's paintings begin with a simple impulse: to slow down and look closely. Working at a more intimate scale, she turns to familiar plants, finding unexpected beauty in color, form, and light. Long drawn to succulents to explore adaptation, diversity, and endurance, she continues that inquiry here — created between California and Oaxaca, these works are less about geography than about attention, and what's closest to us, often reveals most.
