Everyone Can Create: Beginning Stop Motion Animation

Children ages 6-12 are invited to this fun, in-person introduction to stop motion animation. Participants will use the Stop Motion Studio app to make simple stop motion animations using small toys and paper. Participants will have an opportunity to showcase their work at the end of the session . iPad devices will be provided to all participants. The theme of all four classes in October is Halloween. October 4 Introduction to Stop-Motion Animation Children will learn how stop-motion animation works and create their own Halloween-themed props and characters for their movie. October 11 Creating the Halloween Story Children will develop their trick-or-treating story and begin planning the scenes, characters, and settings for their movie. October 18 Filming the Movie Children will use their characters and props to film their Halloween trick-or-treating movie, learning how to move objects and characters frame by frame. October 25 Finishing the Movie Children will complete their animation, add final details, and watch their Halloween trick-or-treating movies come to life! 🎃👻 Free. Registration required.
