FIFA World Cup 2026 — Bay Area

Jun 11 – Jul 19, 2026. Six matches at Levi's Stadium and 30+ official Host Committee fan zones across SF, Oakland, San Jose, and the Peninsula. Every watch party, diaspora celebration, and supporter-club meetup we've found — refreshed throughout the tournament.

The Bay Area's role

  • Levi's Stadium hosts 6 matches under the FIFA name “San Francisco Bay Area Stadium.”
  • There is no official FIFA Fan Festival sited in the Bay (those are in LA, NYC, Boston, etc.). Instead, the Bay Area Host Committee runs a distributed network of 30+ free fan zones.
  • The verified diaspora anchor is La Plaza @ Mexican Heritage Plaza — official Mexico match watch parties on Jun 18 and Jun 24. Pride House SF runs multiple LGBTQ+ programming days. Other heritage cultural orgs (Goethe-Institut, BrasArte, Five Wounds, KCCSF) have no published WC events at the time of writing — see the diaspora section below for ongoing community calendars to check.

Diaspora community celebrations — verified WC2026

We pruned this list aggressively: only venues with directly-confirmed WC2026 programming. Other heritage cultural orgs (Goethe-Institut, BrasArte, Five Wounds Parish, KCCSF, etc.) had no WC events published at verification time — they're listed below the verified set as “where to look yourself,” not as a confirmed schedule.

  • La Plaza @ Mexican Heritage Plaza — Mexican · San Jose
Mexico v South Korea (Jun 18, 5–8:30 PM) and Mexico v Czechia (Jun 24, 5–8:30 PM) — official HOC watch parties.
  • Pride House SF — multiple venues — LGBTQ+ / Pride House · San Francisco
Kickoff Party (Jun 11), Big Gay Watch Party @ Beaux (Jun 12), Family Day @ The Crossing (Jun 19), Block Party @ Yerba Buena (Jun 25 USA v Türkiye).
  • Team Australia Community Day — Oakland Roots/Soul Training Facility — Australian (Socceroos) · Alameda
Jun 3 community-day kickoff at Australia's Bay Area base camp.

Community calendars to check yourself (no published WC content)

These orgs cover communities with qualified teams, but at the time of verification none had a published WC2026 event. Useful as ongoing calendars to follow.

German

No SF/Bay German cultural org has published WC2026 programming. The Bayern fan club (Mia SF / Danny Coyle's) hosts Bundesliga matches and will almost certainly cover Germany; check their socials closer to Germany's first match (Jun 14).

  • Mia San Francisco — San Francisco
  • Goethe-Institut SF (cultural events; no WC content as of verification) — San Francisco

Brazilian

No published WC2026 events at BrasArte or La Peña. Watch-parties for Brazil matches typically pop up on community Facebook groups and at individual restaurants — check social media closer to Jun 13 (Brazil v Morocco).

  • BrasArte — Berkeley
  • La Peña Cultural Center — Berkeley

Portuguese

Five Wounds Parish appears in San José's SJ26 promotional campaign but has no parish-sponsored WC events. Portuguese Athletic Club's site is the place to check ahead of Portugal v Uzbekistan (Jun 23).

  • Five Wounds Portuguese National Parish — San Jose
  • Portuguese Athletic Club — San Jose

Korean

No KCCSF or Korean Center WC content found at verification. The official Mexico v South Korea HOC party at La Plaza (Jun 18) is the verified destination for Bay Korean fans.

  • Korean Cultural Center of SF — San Francisco
  • Korean Center Inc. — San Francisco

Match schedule — Bay Area priorities

Diaspora-relevant matches and every fixture at Levi's Stadium. Kickoff times are verified against FIFA's official fixtures weekly.
