Visiting Smolak Farms
The gate is free, and that is the reason to put it at the top of a budget list: "No admission fee! Some activities and attractions are individually priced." You pay for the hayride, the cow train and the face painting only if you want them, which makes a short visit genuinely cheap. Pick-your-own runs 8am to 5pm with a hard 4:15pm last entry. About 25 miles north on I-93.
