A Multilingual, Multigenerational Evening of Words & Voices Hosted by Thomas Célérier - Cupertino Poet Laureate Join us for an open and welcoming poetry afternoon at the Cupertino Library, where voices of all ages, cultures, and languages come together to share the power of the spoken and written word. This open mic celebrates poetry in all its forms, spoken, read, sung, remembered, or improvised. Whether you write in English, Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi, Tagalog, or another language close to your heart, you are warmly invited to share. Translations and explanations are welcome but never required. All generations are encouraged to participate and attend. Come listen, come read, come perform, or simply come to be present. This is a community space rooted in respect, curiosity, and the joy of language. All are welcome. No prior experience necessary. Plan for 1 or 2 poems to share in the language of your choice (with translation or not). This could be your own poem(s) or the one(s) from an author you like. Open to poets, storytellers, elders, youth, and first-time readers alike. Let’s gather to listen deeply, celebrate difference, and honor the many languages that shape our community.
