Student-Led Astronomy Workshop for Tweens

In this program students will learn about the layers of the atmosphere, and why and how rockets are designed in order to navigate through space. There will be short visual presentation on these elements, while most of our time will be spend on hands-on activities that help apply both art and science to this topic! This program is focused on inspiring young people to become interested in STEM and astronomy, with a strong emphasis on encouraging young girls to be interested in STEM, specifically in exploring space and engineering! All participants will find a safe and engaging environment to enter these scientific topics and to try new things. This program is for tweens ages 8 to 12 only . Registration is required. This program is an approved Passion Project Proposal, and will be led by Stellar Miracle, a group of high school students volunteering to share their passions with the community!
