Sketchbooking as Exploration
About
This workshop is for anyone who has ever felt compelled to explore the visual language of drawing and painting, but felt daunted by the blank page. Using printed reference materials as well as the splendor of Golden Gate Park as inspiration, we will explore a variety of mark making techniques and materials through the lens of curiosity and play. Students are welcome to work in any combination of non-erasable mediums, and are encouraged to layer over and reshape any "unsatisfactory" imagery with creativity and confidence. All levels welcome! Please bring your own sketchbook and any preferred drawing materials. Painting and drawing materials provided.
