The Museum of Science welcomes Nightingale, in collaboration with Juventas New Music Ensemble, composer Gregory W. Brown, visual artist Brian D. Cohen, and poet Todd Hearon, for the premiere of Strange Land — an immersive multimedia experience that reimagines the Book of Revelation through a modern lens, exploring the collision of ancient spiritual questions with our technological present. The score sets modern and ancient psalms for choir, tenor soloist, and chamber ensemble, augmented with electronic sound. The performance is paired with monumental imagery: etchings on copper plates, printed by hand in the traditional manner, then enlarged to colossal scale and projected in vivid detail across the IMAX screen.
