Join us for one of our most popular tours of the year and discover the hidden lives of plants with Garden Curator, Brian Kemble. On this special tour, Brian will explore the many ways plants have provided food, fiber, and medicine across cultures and throughout history. From familiar edible plants to unusual fruits that come with a few prickly challenges, you’ll discover fascinating stories, practical uses, and a new appreciation for the plants growing all around you. To top it off, each participant will go home with seasonal fruits from the Garden, along with tips and tricks for preparing them in your own kitchen. Registrants will be walked thru safe preparation of fruits and also asked to sign a waiver prior to fruit pick-up acknowledging known risks involved with trying new foods and handling spiky fruits in the kitchen.
