Art History for Kids: Design a Diya
About
Celebrate Diwali with art, color, and clay! Discover the tradition of diyas—small lamps that shine during the Festival of Lights—then get creative with air-dry clay to shape and decorate your very own colorful diya. This hands-on workshop will be led by art teacher and educator, Raquel Gunther. This event is designed for kids 6-12 years old. All materials will be provided. Please register as supplies and space are limited. Please arrive on time to secure your spot, otherwise walk-ins will be welcomed. Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests! An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or accessibility@aclibrary.org .
