Saturday STEM: Bending Light!
About
Join us for Saturday STEM! Kids will explore a fun STEM activity focused on the theme of the day. This week join our volunteer Kimmie for a study in the physics of LIGHT, specifically, how light bends when it passes through different materials. If we trap light within a material, we call this Total Internal Reflection. Kids will see and experience various demonstrations of this effect, then have a chance to build a small fiber optic light toy to play with during the program. This program is appropriate for kids in 2nd grade and up. Space is limited to 15 participants, and tickets will be available at the Front Desk one hour before the event begins to secure a spot. Tickets and supplies are available on a first come, first served basis. We hope to see you there! ADA Accommodation Requests
