Audition to sing with Zamir Chorale of Boston for the 2026-27 season! Auditions will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Temple Reyim, 1860 Washington St., Newton, and are by appointment only and must be scheduled in advance by emailing manager@zamir.org. When you write, please provide your voice part and the best phone number to reach you. In addition to the audition, candidates are required to attend two open rehearsals: Tuesdays, Sept. 15 and 22. An orientation session for those auditioning will be held at 6:30 pm, just prior to the open rehearsals. Rehearsals throughout the year are generally held on Tuesdays, from September to early June, at Temple Reyim, from 7:15 to 9:45 pm. Candidates should have excellent vocal quality, the ability to sight-read music, and previous choral experience. In preparation for your audition, be sure to bring a printed copy of your audition form, and review the section below on what to expect at your audition. Here is what to expect at your audition: First you will vocalize to determine your range. Then, to display your vocal abilities, you will sing a solo song; please prepare something in advance, and bring sheet music for the pianist. If possible, prepare an aria or an art song or something comparable. Next you will be given a brief musical memory test in which you will be asked to sing back several intervals played for you on the piano.
