Drop off your kids for a fun-filled day of exploring our state-of-the-art studios, mastering new skills, and unleashing their inner inventors. With time for both structured and exploratory activities, it will be a fun and engaging experience! Campers will choose two skill-building sessions, complete a design challenge, and explore the KID Museum space. Sample Skill Building Sessions: Sewing and Textiles: Create custom textiles and learn how to hand and machine sew. Woodworking: Explore basic woodworking techniques, including carving, shaping, and assembly. Learn to safely use tools like rasps/files, scroll saws, and drills. Electronics: Explore electricity, circuitry, and how electronics can help you invent and create. Digital Fabrication: Learn how to create with high-tech tools. Coding: Use different coding languages and platforms to bring your digital ideas to life. Cardboard Construction: Master techniques like scoring, folding, and slotting to create durable structures and prototypes. Engineering Design Challenges: Apply the Engineering Design Process to brainstorm, prototype, test, and refine innovative solutions–building critical thinking and creativity along the way.
