Día De Los Muertos Community Celebration
About
The College of San Mateo Comunidad will be hosting the annual community-wide campus celebration event for Día De Los Muertos on Thursday, Oct. 29. CSM Comunidad is comprised of students, staff, faculty, and administrators from across different departments who aim to create a welcoming environment for all Latine/a/o students to thrive at CSM. The purpose of celebrating Día De Los Muertos at the College of San Mateo is to serve not only our community members who celebrate Día De Los Muertos but also to welcome those looking to connect with the holiday. The event's overall purpose is to offer the community an understanding of the history and traditions of Día de los Muertos. This is a time for families to gather to honor and remember their deceased loved ones. It offers our CSM community a dedicated time to heal and honor the happiness our departed brought us.
