Fairfax Tree Rescue Extravaganza II
About
Try your hand at saving a tree! During the four weekends of October, Fairfax residents will come together for Fairfax Tree Rescue Extravaganza II. This is a community-wide effort to rid our trees of the invasive vines that threaten them. Join us in the Pohick Library Lobby for a brief info session before heading outside to try your hand saving trees by clipping the invasive vines, while preserving native ones. Details and registration at FairfaxPRISM.org . It’s gratifying, fun, and if we are to save the estimated million trees at risk, hundreds of us need to take part. Children 11 and older are welcome, but anyone 15 or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
