The Salem Witch Trials memorialize just what hysteria, intolerance and ignorance can wrought in our criminal justice system. Learn what really happened in this dark chapter of our history. Discover the “perfect storm” of conditions that culminated in tragic injustices that have haunted us for centuries. Justice Dennis J. Curran served as a Massachusetts Superior Court judge for 15 years. During his judicial tenure, he presided over 450 civil and criminal trials. He is a graduate of Boston Latin School, and received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in an accelerated joint-degree program from the University of Pennsylvania, and his law degree from the University of Virginia. Justice Curran has received four statewide awards for judicial excellence. Registration is encouraged (registrants will receive a reminder email) and will open three weeks before the event.
