Introduction to the Sewing Machine

PROGRAM Learn how to use a sewing machine! We will cover the basics of threading a machine, changing stitches, adjusting tension, and offer several tips to get started with sewing. All sewing machines and materials will be provided by Hatch. Please do not bring your own sewing machine. For adults and youth 12+ with beginner sewing knowledge , or those who need a refresher. While not required, we request that patrons wear face masks while participating in this class. Hatch workshops start on time. If you arrive late, your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist. MAKER CARDS All visitors to Hatch must show their Hatch Maker Card, or sign a waiver to receive a Maker Card. Those under 18 must have a parent/guardian present to sign the waiver. Visitors under 12 years old must be accompanied by a guardian at all times. LOCATION This event takes place at WFPL’s Hatch Makerspace, located at 20 Summer Street in Watertown, just a few blocks away from the Library. ----- The Watertown Free Public Library does not discriminate and does not share your information with anyone.
