Date: Fri September 25th - Sat September 26th 2026, All day Location: University of California, Berkeley and Stanford University Please join us for After Menocchio: the Pasts and Futures of Microhistory, a symposium jointly organized by Stanford's Center for Medieval and Early Modern Studies and UC Berkeley's DE in Renaissance and Early Modern Studies in honor of the 50th anniversary of Carlo Ginzburg's The Cheese and the Worms. In addition to keynote speakers John-Paul Ghobrial (Oxford) and Amy Stanley (Northwestern), the Symposium will also include a series of roundtables and workshops featuring the work of early-career scholars.
