The Corcoran Center is excited to announce a series of “Industry Insight” lunches hosted by our Undergraduate Real Estate Council this fall, featuring industry experts from across the Real Estate and Urban Action field. Join us on select Fridays during the semester from 1 to 2 p.m. in Carney 437 to network and gain insight into the many dynamic areas of Real Estate. Our third lunch will be on Friday, October 23rd at 1 p.m., with Patrick Hess of Avesta Housing. All are welcome, but please register as space is limited, and a catered lunch will be provided. Please use this link to register. Patrick oversees Avesta Housing’s real estate division—including development, construction services, asset management, and homeownership. He is an expert in forming public-private partnerships to organize complex capital stacks that make affordable housing projects financially feasible. Before his time at Avesta, Patrick held senior leadership positions at NYC Housing Preservation & Development and NYC Economic Development Corporation. These roles shaped his career in citywide housing strategies, multi‑agency planning efforts, and large‑scale development projects. Patrick graduated from Boston College with a degree in History. He later earned a degree in Bilingual Education from Fordham University and a Master's in Urban Planning from NYU.
