1st Grade Book Club
About
This month we will be reading When You Find the Right Rock by Mary Lyn Ray. Register online here, then swing by the library to pick up a copy of your book. Books will be available starting approximately two weeks before each meeting. During Book Club, children are invited to discuss their thoughts and ideas about the month’s chosen book. They are expected to listen to what others have to say and respond kindly, even if their opinions differ. Discussions can get lively and loud. Discussion is accompanied by a small craft or activity related to the book, which can sometimes be messy. Please note: this club is only for children in 1st grade. Registration is required. We want to do our best to provide your child with the best accommodations possible to make their experience at 1st Grade Book Club both fun and rewarding. Any additional information you can provide to help us support your child would be very helpful. Attendance Policy Please note, when someone does not show up for a program they are registered for, they are taking away an opportunity for another member of the community. Patrons who are registered for an event they cannot attend are asked to cancel their registration at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to show up for programs two (2) times without notice will be grounds for being waitlisted for 90 days.
