About
**This event will take place at the Community Center, 39 Marrett Road, Lexington. Join us for a fabulous evening with local authors Weina Dai Randel, in conversation with Karen Kirsten, to discuss Weina's new book, The Lost Kingdom of Daughters , a suspenseful historical novel set in a distant matriarchal society where marriage doesn’t exist and free love is the tradition. This unique, one-of-a-kind novel features a free-spirited woman who grows up in a land of misty hot springs and star-kissed hills, and two American brothers stranded in the mountains. A spellbinding story exploring love and lust, freedom and forgiveness, it breathes life into a vanishing culture while charting an inevitable clash between tradition and modernity. Based on the real matriarchal ethnic group in China, the Moso tribe, known for its matriarchal tradition. Attendance is on a first-come basis. Registering below allows us to plan for headcount and keep you updated in case of any changes.
