Join our monthly Teens Reach meeting where you can learn a craft, eat some snacks, chat about the library community, and learn how you can lend a hand. Feel free to bring a friend as well! In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, our September craft will be papel picado. Using pre-printed patterns, participants will learn the basics of papel picado creation. Make one flag or several to string together into a festive banner. This program is specifically for teens ages 13-18. What is Teens Reach? Teens Reach is the youth council for the San José Public Library, allowing young adults to build their leadership skills by developing and participating in library activities, as well as becoming library advisors and advocates. What happens at Teens Reach meetings? Our in-person meeting plans include: Chatting about teen volunteer opportunities Discussing community youth engagement Games & Activities/crafts Snack eating Guest Speakers Elections for Advisory Board New to volunteering at San Jose Public Library ?
