Drawing Studio - The Basics

Build a strong foundation in drawing and watercolor through this engaging class for artists of all skill levels. The first half of the course focuses on essential drawing techniques, including contour line, shading, value, and perspective. In the second half, students will be introduced to watercolor washes and learn how to thoughtfully develop and complete their artwork.Through guided exercises and projects, participants will strengthen their observation skills, improve their understanding of composition, and gain confidence in both drawing and painting techniques.For the first class, please bring an 18" x 24" newsprint pad, 4B and 6B graphite pencils, a 6B charcoal pencil, a felt-tip pen (such as a Sharpie, Stabilo, Micron, or Flair pen), a tortillon (blending stump), and a kneaded eraser. All levels are welcome.
