Bright Beginnings
About
Join us for a bright and joyful Diwali celebration designed especially for kids. We’ll begin with a colorful Diwali story that introduces the Festival of Lights and its traditions. Then, children will get creative with two hands-on crafts: decorating their own diyas and making vibrant rangoli designs using colored sand. This fun, festive program invites families to explore Diwali through stories, art, and imagination. Come share the light! We will provide all the materials for this program. This program is designed for children ages 4-12 years old. Limited to 36 participants. Free tickets available in-person 30 minutes before the event at the children’s information desk. Please note that admittance ends 10 minutes after the advertised start time. This program is generously sponsored by Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, MD, Inc. Questions about this program?
