Kimjang: A Hands-on Korean Kimchi Making Workshop
About
Join Korean food and culture educator Cori Ahn for a hands-on introduction to Kimjang, the Korean tradition of making and sharing kimchi. Participants will learn about the cultural significance of Kimjang, the basics of fermentation, and how kimchi is prepared. Then everyone will make their own kimchi using pre-brined napa cabbage and homemade seasoning, and take home a mason jar of freshly made kimchi to ferment and enjoy. We'll also share a small tasting of homemade samgyetang, Korean chicken soup with rice, alongside the freshly made kimchi. Registration is required to attend and will open on Monday, November 2nd at 10 AM. Accessibility Notice : We strive to make our events accessible.
