From famous trials to laws about the creepy and unusual, Massachusetts has its share of spooky law! Join the BPL and the Trial Court Law Library for a ''free-spirited'' review of some famous and legally notable cases like the Salem witch trials and Lizzie Borden's murder trial. We will also do an overview of some haunting Massachusetts laws concerning ghosts, werewolves, burial, bodysnatching, and others that are still on the books today! Presenters: Alexandra Furtado graduated from Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science in 2016 and previously worked at the State Library of Massachusetts. She joined the Trial Court Law Libraries in 2021 and currently works as the Head Law Librarian for the Fall River Law Library. Jasmine Bonanca graduated from Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science in 2019 and previously worked as a law librarian at a private law firm in Boston.
