Indigenous Beading for Kids

Wednesday, November 18 · 2 PM – 3 PM · Brookline Village — Hunneman Hall - Brookline Village

About

Join Janelle Pocowatchit from the North American Indian Center of Boston (NAICOB) for an afternoon of Indigenous beading and learning! Janelle will show us different styles of Indigenous beadwork and teach kids to create their own using pony beads and string, along with teaching us about the sacred cultural significance of beads and their history having been handed down from generation to generation. This event is for ages 5+ and requires a free ticket, which can be picked up at the Children's Desk 30 minutes before the program begins. This event is generously sponsored by the Brookline Library Foundation.
