About
CS Coding Club is a year-long, after-school immersive computer science program where students learn to code through exploration and multiple project creation. Through hands-on, project-based learning, students explore modern software development, including web design, programming, hardware, and emerging technologies. Meeting once a week for a two-hour session, students build confidence as creators while developing the skills to approach challenges through design, programming, and engineering problem-solving. No prior coding experience is required. The program is structured across two semesters, beginning with front-end UI design and web development. Students design and build interactive websites while learning how HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and tools and platforms such as Wix are used to create engaging digital experiences. In the following semester, students explore programming with Python, creating interactive visuals, games, and applications while learning concepts such as variables, functions, and logic. They also explore hardware and physical computing, connecting software with the real world through hands-on projects that strengthen design thinking and problem-solving skills. Throughout the program, parents receive feedback, every other week, on topics covered and student progress. At the end of each semester, students complete an evaluation to reflect on their growth and receive a badge, certificate, and collectible charm recognizing their accomplishments. Pedagogy • Inqui
