Community Meeting - New Thompson Mini Park, Project 26-35
About
A new 0.43-acre mini park is proposed at 538 Thompson Avenue and 2231 W. Middlefield Road to provide additional park and open space opportunities for the Monta Loma neighborhood. The project will create a welcoming and functional space designed for everyday community use. The first community meeting was held on May 28, 2026, where staff gathered valuable input on desired park amenities and received additional feedback from the community. The second community meeting will be held on September 24, 2026, where staff will present concept alternatives, initiate the park naming recommendation process, and gather additional community input. Following the meeting, staff will present the preferred concept to the Parks and Recreation Commission in December.
