About

White Oak Library's Wild Readers Book Club is the place to be for newly or almost independent readers in grades 2 & 3. Pick up your copy of the book then come to the meeting to talk about it with other kids. You can pick up your book at the meeting, or ask for one at White Oak Library Checkout Desk thereafter. Most titles are also available electronically as well. Read the book on your own, then come ready to discuss the book and play a game or do another fun activity. This is an independent learning experience. Parents and caregivers will not be present in the program room but must remain in the library building during the program. Please meet your reader downstairs at 5:45 PM. Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child. Have questions about this program? Contact the White Oak Library at 240-773-9555. Don't have a card right now? Find out how to Get a Library Card .
