Go Green After Halloween: Pumpkin Toss & Costume Drive

Residents are invited to bring their old pumpkins and gourds to be composted! You will be able to smash (or toss) your old pumpkins into a Black Earth Compost truck. This gives them a second life as nutrient rich compost and helps reduce waste in our community! Additionally, if you know you will no longer be using your old costumes, we encourage you to bring them over along with your pumpkins as they will be donated to the Lincoln School for redistribution next year. Note: Please ensure that your pumpkins are free of non-biodegradable items like paint, wax, glitter, candles, tape, fibers, etc. Ensure to remove these materials before dropping your pumpkin off.
