Celebrate United Against Hate Week with the City of El Cerrito on October 17 United Against Hate Week takes place October 18 - 24, 2026. To celebrate, join the El Cerrito Human Relations Commission and Arts & Culture Commission for an all-ages event 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 17 on the Ohlone Greenway next to Centennial Park. We invite residents to create sidewalk chalk artwork on this year’s theme of “Belonging in Action”. Local Artist Naima Yi will create a chalk centerpiece, with music and a storytime hour appropriate for elementary school ages thanks to suggestions from the El Cerrito Public Library.
