Families will work together to create a beautiful canvas painting. Inspired by Henri Matisse's cut paper art, families will design a garden with a gardener's boot and a personal message. Space is limited and once seats are full, the doors will close. About the Artist: Rashmi Rao is a Bay Area–based artist, designer, and creative educator. Her artwork has been exhibited locally and in New York and has received recognition through juried exhibitions and art publications. She enjoys creating welcoming art experiences where people of all skill levels can explore color, experiment with different techniques, and simply enjoy the process of making art. Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests. An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least 7 business days in advance.
