About Teresa Michals Teresa Michals is a Professor at George Mason University. Her publications include Books for Children, Books for Adults: Age and the Novel from Defoe to James (Cambridge, 2014) and Lame Captains and Left-Handed Admirals: Amputee Officers in Nelson’s Navy (University of Virginia Press, 2021).
