About
The Mandel Center’s Creativity Across Borders series looks at how nation, immigration and diaspora affect creative practice. For this event, titled ‘The Shaping of Artistic Exchange,’ we consider the political, economic and cultural forces that drive artistic exchange across borders. We consider why artists immigrate, why arts institutions expand beyond national borders, and how artists in different parts of the world engage in cross-border conversations of relevance to many diaspora groups.
