Two Cultures, One Bowl: Where Italy and Germany Meet

Saturday, October 17 · 12 PM – 2 PM · Shaw-Roxbury, Nutrition Lab, 2nd floor., Roxbury · Boston

About

Tucked into the mountains where Italy meets Austria and Germany, the Alto Adige region tells a story of two cultures blended into one plate. In celebration of Italian American and German American Heritage Month, Suman Shah , Chef-in-Residence at the Boston Public Library, will explore that heritage through a dish that captures it perfectly. We'll make a creamy, golden polenta paired with a rich, slow-simmered goulash, drawing on both Italian and German culinary traditions. It's comfort food shaped by mountains, borders, and generations of shared history, and a perfect way to warm up as the weather turns.
