Come and explore Deaf language and culture in a 4-week Introduction to American Sign Language class with Janel Schmidt. Using visual prompts, pictures, and props, Janel will create a fun and engaging learning experience for everyone to learn ASL. No previous experience is necessary. All ages and abilities are welcome to attend! If spots are filled, please add yourself to the waitlist and come to the first day of class. Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests. An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) business days in advance.
